Opening Event of the Agriculture Conference 

A panel conversation with Naglaa Ahmed, Ueli Hurter, Swati Renduchintala, Eduardo Rincon, Ercilia Sahores, and Thoraya Seada

Four individuals share their experiences in promoting sustainable agriculture and future-proof food systems. Swati Renduchintala, a scientist at World Agroforestry in India, will contribute her expertise in Indian agroecology. Ercilia Sahores from Argentina, Director of the Organic Consumers Association in Mexico, will provide insights from her extensive work in building global alliances for sustainable agriculture. Naglaa Ahmed and Thoraya Seada (EBDA / SEKEM) will demonstrate how sustainable agriculture thrives in the desert. The EBDA and SEKEM initiatives were awarded the 2024 Gulbenkian Prize for Humanity, recognizing their tireless efforts toward ecological sustainability and better living conditions for Egyptian farmers.
